We set the alarm for 6:30 so we could get up and make the most of the day at sea. I kept waking up at night hearing strange storm sounds. At 3:30 I got up and found the verandah door was swinging open in the wind and the curtain was being sucked out. I pulled it all back in and locked the verandah door. Then before I knew it, we were up and at it at 6:30. Room service breakfast came after a bit. It consisted of scrambled eggs and bagles with jams. We headed out for a bit of exploration on the ship.
In the mid-afternoon there was a Dutch High Tea that we went to. Tons of dessert petifores and tiny sandwiches and lots of choices of teas. Lots of fun and lots of sweet food. We sat with 2 other couples for tea. One of the couples had been on a lot of cruises and filled the rest of us in on lots of fun details of their past cruises.
Before we knew it, it was formal night. We got all dressed up and went to a fabulous dinner at the Pinnacle Grill. It's a Northwest cuisine restaurant. Mike had a mouth watering filet mignon and baked potato. I had a delicious lobster and baked potato. Along with all that goodness were very good appetizers and a yummy chocolate desert. Very romantic evening.
