Woke up refreshed to yet another beautiful sunny, warm day. Finally got to get a good night's sleep because we didn't have to get up early. This time for breakfast we tried the Lido buffet. It turned out to be a good, diverse place to go for breakfast. We had omelets and bakery stuff and ate out on the deck in the warm sun which made breakfast all that much better.
We went to the Crow's Nest and Mike discovered that the leather reclining chairs there were the best ever. We relaxed there for awhile and Mike then went to a techie class being taught on ship. I went back to the room to enjoy the verandah by myself for awhile. After Mike came back we went to the duty free stores onboard the ship. Mike won a t-shirt and we bought a few CDs of Caribbean type music. Mike then went to a second techie class. Some relaxing!
Dinner that night was the 2nd formal night of the cruise at the Rembrandt dining room. We had to sit with a very stuffy couple from Indianapolis. Our very friendly dining steward gave me 2 lobster tails and a steak for dinner with some very poorly cooked veggies. I was really looking forward to those lobster tails but found that they were way too salty which ruined their flavor. Mike ate my steak and I was so stuffed from the dinner and all the food that we had been eating lately that I didn't have any dessert.
One more chance to donate money at the casino. Won a few dollars but it's not the same experience as in Las Vegas.
At 10:30 we went to a Dutch Chocolate Extravaganza on the Lido deck. Many people attended, still in their formal attire. We were hoping for really great chocolate desserts. They looked great but ended up to be very plain and ordinary cakes with little flavor. So bad that all we ended up with was a cup of coffee before we headed back to the room for the evening.
