Not much to write about for this day. Just a long drive. We drove through the Adirondacks and took one side trip to try to get some more tree pics before we got to Boston. Stopped in Albany to gas up and tried to find a bead store to not avail. It had gone out of business. So far batting zero in the bead store quest.
When we got to Woburn, MA, we checked in at the hotel and dropped off all our bags. Then we took off for Logan airport to turn in the car. First time around the rental lots we couldn't find Alamo and luckily Mom asked a taxi driver where it was and within a few minutes we were without a car. The Alamo car rental experience was perfect. We had rented the car on the internet, got the rental agreement from a kiosk without talking to anyone, picked out our own car, and when checking it in, the guy in the lot just scanned a barcode on the car and we were on our way. Totally painless.
Then we took a subway ride into the city, transferred to another subway and then caught a regional train out to a station not too far from the hotel. Caught a taxi for a whole 1.5 mile ride to the hotel for $10. Minimum amount I suppose.
